Peak Performance
My name is David Hijón Romero. I live in Paterna del Campo, where I also work as a high school teacher, teaching English and Physical Education at both Secondary Education and Baccalaureate levels.
I hold a degree in English Philology and the following master’s degrees:
-Master’s Degree in Secondary Education Teaching (Universidad Pablo de Olavide)
-Master’s Degree in English Literary and Cultural Studies and their Social Projection (UNED)
-Online Master’s Degree in English Studies (Universidad de Jaén)
-Master’s Degree in Endurance Sports
-Master’s Degree in High Performance in Cyclical Sports (Universidad de Murcia) (in progress)
My training in the Master’s in Endurance Sports allowed me to learn from some of the best professionals in Spain in the latest trends in cycling training, as well as in key areas such as nutrition, biomechanics, psychology, and health.
My experience with cycling goes beyond academic training, as I have been competing since the age of 15 in various categories: cadet, junior, under-23, elite, and master 30, achieving podium finishes in all of them. Among my most notable results are:
-Andalusian MTB Cup
-Huelva Provincial MTB Championship
-2nd place in the Seville Provincial MTB Championship (junior and elite categories)
-2nd place in the Vuelta Valle del Genal
-Three podium finishes in Paterna del Campo, including the year it hosted the Spanish National Championship
I have competed both in mountain biking and road cycling, riding for teams such as Vipren-Zona Franca and Extremadura-Spiuk.
I also hold additional training in the field of nutrition, having completed the Advanced Course in Sports Nutrition and Supplementation.
