Parking & Gear Drop-off: There is *limited *parking on site at the venue (yellow in the image below), carpooling is encouraged. There will be a gear drop so bikes, gear, and people can be dropped off as close to the action as possible. Navigation to race and the gear drop is best using the following coordinates: * *39°24’47.0”N 76°42’54.5”W  Entrance for the drop-off and parking is off of Stevenson Rd. Between Valley Acres Dr. and Old Valley Rd. just past the Stevenson Village Shopping Center. The overflow parking will be at the Stevenson Village Shopping Center itself; however we’ve never needed to use it. **Parking opens at 6:30am.  *****Draft *course map.

**Gender Equality & Transgender Policy: **Classes designated “Masters” are open to Men and Women. Minimum Racing Age and categories quoted are for Men; please see the current USAC Rulebook for minimum Racing Age and categories for Women.  The Super Series  welcomes everyone to participate in the gender category they feel is most appropriate to them, as described in USA Cycling policies: https://usacycling.org/about-us/governance/transgender-athletes-policy.

**The Venue: **The home of Falkorburg Cross, Berg Farm, is nestled in the picturesque valleys of Baltimore County. It features a historic stone barn which holds registration and will shelter anyone looking for cover. As usual we’ll have a food truck and beer garden to keep you fed and hydrated. 

RACE DAY FOOD: Get your taste buds ready!

We’ve got Globe coffee in the morning serving up delicious coffee and some breakfast, then Ryleighs Oyster House will be on site 11am-4pm, we will also have Taharka ice cream and tasty beers available from Peabody Heights.

*While usually open to the public, the course will be closed beginning Friday, October 9th for course prep and will re-open on race day.

**Pre-ride opens at 7:30 am on the day of the event with the first race starting at 9:00am.  Warming up on the course during races is not permitted. All USAC rules apply.

The Course: The course is located on the Berg Farm in Stevenson, MD. This is a dedicated cyclocross course that is available for practicing throughout most of the year. Waivers are available on-site and required for anyone interested in scouting the course outside of set-up weekend and event day. However, we will have a few tweaks up our sleeves specifically for race day. The terrain is fast and flowing with a number of technical turns and short super punchy climbs. You won’t find any Belgian walls here, but you’ll find plenty of off-camber and twisty turns. 

The flyover is back this year! All fields, adult and junior, will pass over (and under) the flyover. We’ve added rungs along the left side of both the climb and descent to provide optional additional traction to anyone walking the feature. To walk, run, or ride is a common decision a rider makes when navigating any cyclocross course feature. Please remember to ride within your abilities, stay safe, and keep the rubber side down. 

Rest assured, the balance between power and technical will make this course a leveled playing field.  

**Spectating: ** The venue features easy access to all course locations.  Want to see your favorite rider zoom around the course and navigate the technical turns? No problem! You can enjoy a tasty beverage by team sponsor Peabody Heights Brewer, and watch the ‘cross action’ unfold from one central location or investigate the many prime areas throughout the course for great spectating and friendly heckling. Bring your chair and your ID, and stay around to watch the elite field fly through the course. Bringing the kids? We’ll have 10a.m. and 12p.m. Little Belgians races for the wee little ones age 9 and under. Top it off with food and coffee from local vendors. 

Lil Belgians Kids’ Races: FREE races for kids ages 9 and under. Helmets are required, a guardian must be present and sign a release (available at the registration tent). NO racing license required. Space is limited to 50 kids, and for everyone’s convenience, please pre-register online at https://www.bikereg.com/falkorburg2024 to guarantee your spot.

Registration, Entry Fees, & Licensing:  all registration and payment for this event, including race day registration, will be conducted through BikeReg.  Addtional entries are offered at $20 ($25 on race day) when purchased in the same BikeReg shopping cart.  If the entries are purchased separately during the pre-registration period, contact us for a partial refund; on event day a coupon code will be made available at the day-of registration table to achieve the same discounted price.  Entry fees will increase to $50 for adults and $30 for Junior Men for race day registration (all Junior Women race free this year), to reflect the day-of surcharge.  There will be no in-person sales at the event – register online, either at home before coming out or on your phone at the event.  You MUST present your racing license (if you have one) or 1-Day receipt in order to be issued a bib, and you should also be prepared to show your confirmation email.  In order to expedite your entry, make sure you have completed the online waiver before approaching the day-of registration table.

This page will re-open for day-of registration by 6 AM;  check-in will open by 7 AM.  Check-in and registration for all races will close 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the race.  There will be no exceptions made to this rule – plan to show up timely for the race you want to enter.

Thanks to our sponsors, U19 Women may race in any class they qualify for by Cyclocross category, but remain eligible for free entry (use code Watch_Out_Boys), if registering for and girls category, there will be no fee (except Mabra charge).  For race day entry, the day-of surcharge will be applied as appropriate.  Any current National Cyclocross Champions shall be granted free entry, but must wear their national jersey in the class in which it was won.

A USA Cycling racing license is required for entry.  Riders who do not provide a USAC Annual racing license # at registration will be assessed an additional $15 for a Beginner 1-Day license.  This license is valid for entry only in fields that are open to Novice Men, Women, or Non-Binary riders.  For all other fields, you must present proof of an active USAC racing license (or a printed Authorization to Ride) showing your Cyclocross category and Racing Age.

**Staging & Call Ups: **Cat 5 Men’s and Cat 4/5 Women’s races are staged based on pre-registration order. The rest of the races are staged according to Super Series standing for the top 8 positions and then based on CrossResults.com rankings for the remainder of pre-registered riders. Points: Points are awarded for Series ranking to the following Super Series categories – Men Cat 1,2,3; Women Cat 1,2,3; Men Cat 3, Men Cat 4; Masters 40+ Cat 1,2,3; Masters 50+ Cat 1,2,3,4; Masters 40+/50+ Cat 3, 4, 5; Singlespeed Men, Singlespeed Women; all U19.; Men Cat 5 and Women Cat 4/5 beginner races are not ranked. Prizes:

.Mens and Womens Cats 1/2/3 will be awarded prize money!  $300 5 Deep

. All other Adults will receive prizes at the promoter’s discretion; typically 5 deep for Falkorburg Cross.

. Juniors will receive medals three places deep.

. Lil’ Belgians races will have medals and snacks for all.

. Single Speed - The legendary traveling Cat Trophies will be back again for the Men’s and Women’s SSCX races this year. Who will claim the coveted trophy this year and win the rights to host the trophy in their home until next year? Plus podium prizes, 5 deep. 

Team tents: Premium tent spots are available for reservation through BikeReg and include one reserved parking spot near the team tent area (so, yeah…you’re really just paying for primo parking). No reservation? No problem. There’s plenty of room for all at Falkorburg Cross. You can use the drop-off loop for your gear and add your tent to the party. ***Important: For the 2026 Season USAC is requiring teams setting up a tent in a designated team area (pre-paid tent spaces for Falkorburg Cross), to arrive with proof of USAC Safe Sport Certification *Safe Sport Training | USA Cycling. This applies to one individual representative for the team who must be present to gain access to the tent row. This requirement does not apply to all of the first-come, first-serve, unreserved team tents that are set up outside of the premium tent spots.
