Jefferson Cup Road Race - VCA BAR

The Jefferson Cup Road Race returns to Albemarle County in collaboration with our new partner, Bellair Farm, on Sunday, April 26, 2026, as part of a dual race weekend in partnership with the UVA Cycling Club’s Cavalier Criterium on April 25. Jeff Cup is organized by the Charlottesville Racing Club.

The Mid-Atlantic’s most iconic USA Cycling road race—Jefferson Cup has been a proving ground for the nation’s top cyclists and a launching point for rising stars since 1991. Come join in this rich tradition!

Important Information about Logistics

Location: We are partnering with Bellair Farm on Secretary’s Road for the first time, which will greatly simplify the logistics for staging. Address: 5290 Bellair Farm, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Please be sure to follow signage. You will enter Bellair Farm through a gravel road and exit on a paved road.

Registration: Registration will begin at 6:45 am and closes 15 minutes before the beginning of each wave.  For the 8:00-8:10 races, this will be 7:45 AM.  For the 10:30-10:40 races, this is 10:15 and for the 1:30-1:40 races this is 1:15.  

Parking: Stay tuned for further information on parking. We will be posting diagrams of the property and parking locations here later in the spring.

Staging: The ride from the farm back to Secretary’s Road is approximately 1 mile, and the finish/start line is located within ½ mile of the farm’s entrance. Be sure to arrive at the start line with ample enough time to begin staging. We encourage you to depart from the farm to the start line 15 minutes before your race begins.

**Route: **The race course lap can be seen here: https://www.strava.com/routes/23489557, but the finish line will change in 2026 to be located near to the Bellair Farms entrance.

Feed zone: The feed zone will be located on the hill before the entrance to Blenheim Winery on Blenheim Road.

**Prizes: **There will be a cash purse for the men’s and women’s categorized races and at least one prize for first place for all other master’s, juniors, and Men’s Cat 4/Novice race.
